Qiyam Mushaf in Uthmani Script – Dar Ghar Hira Edition

The Qiyam Mushaf from Dar Ghar Hira.

It was written by the calligrapher Adham Fadi Al-Jaafari in the Uthmani script, following what was written in the mushafs of Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) that were sent to the Ansar, in agreement with what was written in the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and by the noble Companions before him.

Among the qualities of this edition:

• Easier reading: the clearest and simplest letter forms in Naskh script, with each vowel mark placed exactly where it belongs, so the Quran can be read with ease.
• Clarity in the writing, achieved through several rules: letters are written out fully rather than joined, so each mark sits directly above its letter; marks are placed close to the letter; the clearest form of each letter is used (for example the open mim rather than the closed one, and the ha' in its mid-word forms); and new rules for setting the line, with letters on one level, measured spacing between words, and conjunctions and negations joined to the word they belong with.
• Verse numbers sit immediately after the verse, so no line begins with a verse number.
• The name of Allah is set in a larger script than the surrounding words, in reverence for His name.
